Transforming My Motorcycle: A Guide to Using Tinybot Vinyl and Monster Fairings

How much does it cost to wrap a sportbike? How much does it cost to wrap a motorcycle? Can you wrap a motorcycle yourself?

Are you ready to elevate your motorcycle’s appearance and make it stand out from the crowd?  If the answer is yes, then you’re in for a treat. In this article, we’ll delve into my personal experience of how I transformed my beloved motorcycle using Tinybot vinyl and Monster fairings. Buckle up, and let’s ride through this exciting journey of customization.

Ok, so this is my first vinyl wrap job ever! Besides my Cricut Vinyl Sticker addiction of 2018, I have never wrapped a vehicle or motorcycle in my life! Did I choose the hardest wrap (chrome) and vehicle (motorcycle) to wrap? Yes, and let me tell you, there are mistakes. In this post, I will tell you the mistakes I made and how you can avoid them when you vinyl wrap your motorcycle!

Preparing for the Transformation

Choosing the Right Materials

The first step in this makeover journey was selecting the perfect materials. If you didn’t know (Making my Ducati Panigale V4S Corse Pink) I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go the pink bike route. I ended up just going for it when I saw the Pink Venom Vinyl made by Tinybot. I decided to go with  Tinybot Vinyl because there were plenty of good reviews online!  These choices laid the foundation for a stunning transformation.

Prepping the Motorcycle

Before diving into the actual customization process, it’s crucial to prepare your motorcycle. Clean it thoroughly, ensuring there’s no dust or grime on the surface. This step is essential to achieve a seamless and long-lasting finish. I used rubbing alcohol and microfiber cloths.

The Vinyl Wrapping Process

Precision and Care

When it comes to vinyl wrapping, precision and care are paramount. Every inch of the motorcycle must be covered flawlessly to achieve that showroom finish. Working meticulously, I started from one end, ensuring the vinyl adhered smoothly without any wrinkles or air bubbles.

Customization Freedom

One of the outstanding advantages of using Tinybot vinyl is the freedom it offers for customization. Whether you want a glossy, matte, or textured finish, Tinybot vinyl can fulfill your desires. I opted for a sleek matte black finish that gave my motorcycle an elegant and sophisticated look.

The Monster Fairings Magic

Enhancing Aesthetics

Monster fairings, with their innovative designs and top-notch quality, played a significant role in enhancing my motorcycle’s aesthetics. These fairings not only provided a stylish look but also improved aerodynamics, enhancing the overall riding experience.

Easy Installation

Installing Monster fairings was a breeze. They are designed to fit perfectly on various motorcycle models, and the installation process is user-friendly. It didn’t take long before my bike started looking like a high-end racing machine.

The Results Speak Louder

Turning Heads

After the transformation was complete, the reactions I received were priceless. My motorcycle had turned into a head-turner. Whether I was cruising through the city streets or parked at a local biker gathering, my bike became the center of attention.

Durability and Longevity

Tinybot Vinyl and Monster fairings proved their worth not only in terms of aesthetics but also durability. They have weathered various conditions, from scorching sun to heavy rain, and still look as stunning as the day I installed them.

What I did to Correct My Mistakes

I wanted to get a second pair of fairings so the stickers from the stock Ducati fairing wouldn’t show under the vinyl (because every bump will be shown) and Monster fairings are renowned in the motorcycle customization world for their quality and durability. So I decided to get a second set of fairings through Monster Fairings. If anything I would have some track fairings, I picked up the gloss white Ducati V4 set from Monster Fairings, I used 6 x 5ft of pink venom for my first set so I ended up doing 5 x 5 ft on the second set. I also decided to stick to the Corsa theme so I needed to pick up a couple feet of Matte Nardo Grey so the grey wouldn’t compete with the LOUDness of Pink Venom (Here is a gloss grey). Also, I picked up more Black vinyl from Tinybot because I black out the blue on the Corse design because I think it looks cleaner. So the fairings and vinyl were all I needed to complete the design!

If you didn’t see my YouTube Video on the Wrap process, you wouldn’t know that my mortal enemy if 3M Knifeless Tape. That was the trickiest part about the whole process! So, if it is your first time doing vinyl, get extra vinyl just in case so you can make those mistakes!

Conclusion

In conclusion, the journey of wrapping my motorcycle using Tinybot vinyl and Monster fairings has been an exhilarating one. The transformation not only made my bike visually appealing but also improved its performance. If you’re looking to give your motorcycle a makeover, I highly recommend these exceptional products. Remember, it’s not just about the ride; it’s about the style too. So, gear up and embark on your own customization adventure!
